How The Keg Stand Got Its Name 🍻 People ask all the time… “Where did The Keg Stand come from?” It actually started with an old hot dog stand. The idea was simple — take that old-school stand concept and turn it into a beer stand that could show up anywhere, serve local craft beer fresh from kegs, and bring people together. The name came from a play on words. A little twist on the classic hot dog stand mixed with something everyone knew… the keg stand. It was all about the feeling. Back when things were simpler, you didn’t need much to have a great time. Someone brought a keg, friends showed up, music was playing, and everyone just enjoyed the night. No fancy setups. No trying to impress anyone. Just cold beer, good conversations, and memories with good people. That’s the feeling we wanted to bring back. What started as an idea for a little beer trailer turned into far more… and eventually our brewery. The name stayed the same because the reason behind it never changed. Bring people together. Enjoy life. Make memories. Keep it simple! And that’s exactly how we want to keep it! Cheers 🍻
